Using the computer for the first time

The computer is now ready for you to turn it on and begin

using it.

Opening the display panel

1Facing the front of the computer, locate the latch on the center

of the display panel.

2Slide the display latch to the right and raise the display

panel.

3Adjust the display to a comfortable viewing angle.

To avoid damaging the display panel, do not force it beyond

the point where it moves easily, and never lift the computer by

the display panel.

Small bright dots may appear on your screen display when

you turn on your PC. Your display contains an extremely

large number of thin-film transistors (TFT) and is

manufactured using high-precision technology. Any small

bright dots that may appear on your display are an intrinsic

You press the disc eject button, but the drive tray does not slide out. Some discs run correctly but others do not. The disc will not come out of the drive when you click the eject button on the screen. Sound system problems You do not hear any sound from the computer. The modem is on, set up properly and still will not transmit or receive data. The Windows XP wireless management facility does not work. DVD operating problems A blank screen appears while watching a DVD-ROM movie or title.
