•Actual picture enhancement may vary depending on the quality of the disc.

•While the picture enhancement can provide improvement in the reduction of noise in the video signal, it may produce undesirabIe picture artifacts on some discs. Should this occur, select "Off."

•Depending on the disc, some kinds of picture details may be Iost by the picture enhancement.

:Bit rate (Mbit/s)

Amount of picture, sound and subtitle data in the DVD video disc transferred per second. The larger the value is, the more data processed, but this does not necessarily insure better picture quality.

To keep the bit rate display on-screen:

Press • / • to select "On" then press ENTER.

:Closed Caption

You can display closed captions included on a disc without connecting a dosed caption decoder to your TV.

Press • / • to select "On" or "Off" then press

ENTER.

Off: To disable closed captions.

On: To display closed captions.

•While you are using on-screen displays (including the bit rate display), you cannot view closed captions. After selecting "On" then turning off the on-screen display, closed captions will appear.

•When "On " is selected, some displays such as "_;," may be disabled.
