Playing in the selected mode

A-B Repeat DVD-V VCD CD	Random playback DVD-V DVD-A VCD CD
You can repeat playback of a specific segment.	You can play titles, groups, chapters within a title, or
	tracks in random order.

Select “A-B (Set A)”, and at the beginning of the segment (point A) press the ENTER button. The on- screen display shown below appears.

The beginning of the segment (point A) has been memorized.

e.g.

1Press ENTER at the end of the segment (point B).

The player automatically returns to point A and starts repeat playback of the selected segment (A-B).

To resume normal playback

Press CLEAR while pressing SHIFT.

SHIFT RETURN

The quick menu can also be available.

Notes

•Some discs may not permit A-B repeat operation.

•You can specify a segment only within the current title or track.

•You cannot set the A-B repeat function for a segment that includes multiple camera angles 46 .

•There may be a slight difference between point A and the location where playback actually resumes, depending on the disc.

Select “Random” and press the ENTER button. The on-screen display shown below appears.

DVD-V	Chapter Random	Plays the chapters
		within the current title in
		random order.
DVD-A	Track Random	Plays the tracks within
		the current group in
		random order.
DVD-V	Title Random	Plays titles in random
	Group Random	order.
DVD-A		Plays groups in random
		order.
VCD	Track Random	Plays tracks in random
		order.
CD	Track Random	Plays tracks in random
		order.
	Random Off	Resumes normal
		playback.

If you select any of the above modes during playback, the player automatically starts random playback after finishing the current title, group, chapter, or track.
