3.Connect the RJ-45 adapter to the network.

You can connect the Ethernet adapter cable to a port on a hub or to a RJ-45 phone jack with another male-to-male RJ-45 line or connector.

After you have inserted the Ethernet Card, you must install the drivers. If your operating system is Windows 98, Window 95, or Windows NT, refer to Chapter 3. If your operating system is Windows NT 3.51 or another DOS environment network operat- ing system, refer to Chapter 4. If your operating system is Linux, refer to Chapter 5.
