9 – Troubleshooting

If the UPS system malfunctions during operation, check the following:

Is the input and output wiring correct?

Is the utility AC input voltage within the acceptable range for the UPS system?

If problems persists, please refer to the instructions below. If the problem continues to persist after following the instructions below and/or restarting the UPS system, contact Tripp Lite for service.

UPS Detects Error While in Self-Test Mode

If a serious abnormal condition occurs, the UPS system will lock itself in the “OFF” position AAA and the fault LED will illuminate on the

control panel. After three seconds, all messages will be locked except for bypass messages ( and). If the AC utility input power

becomes abnormal after the UPS locks, the LED will go out and will appear on the LCD.

To release the UPS system lock:

1.Troubleshoot the UPS system problem using the chart above.

2.Press the “OFF”button for five seconds until the buzzer sounds twice, then release the button.

3.Turn off the utility input breaker.

4.Restart the UPS system by following the instructions in Section 6-3 – Normal Mode Startup.

5.If the problem persists, contact Tripp Lite for service.
