Belt Replacement

Auger Belt

NOTE: It is not necessary to remove both belts in order to change either one. If changing just one belt, be certain to check the condition of the other belt.

1.Remove the plastic belt cover at the front of the engine by removing the two self-tapping screws. See Fig. 7-1.

2.Drain the gasoline from the snow thrower, or place a piece of plastic film under the gas cap.

3.Tip the snow thrower up and forward so that it rests on its auger housing.

4.Remove the frame cover from the underside of the snow thrower by removing self-tapping screws which secure it. See Fig. 7-2.

5.Roll the auger belt off the engine pulley. See Fig. 7-3.
