Function

Status Light

The status light indicates the following conditions:

 

GREEN: The light will remain on when the unit is powered on. The light will flash

 

when audio is playing, or when the audio driver is being used by a program.

 

RED: The light will turn Red when the audio output is muted (see below).

Volume/Mute

This control adjusts the master volume when pushed up or down. To mute the

output, push in the control. The status light will turn RED when mute is activated.

S/PDIF &

This jack operates in two modes:

Headphone/ Line

Line/Headphones Output: The analog line-level output can drive external line-

Out Jack

level recording devices, powered speakers or stereo headphones.

 

 

S/PDIF Output: When the included optical adapter is inserted into this jack, it

 

becomes an optical S/PDIF output for playing digital audio. This allows for pass-

 

through of DolbyDigital and DTSmulti-channel DVD sound to external A/V

 

receivers or digital speaker systems.

 

Settings for the S/PDIF functions are in the Amigo Control Panel Speakers Tab.

Microphone Input

This jack accepts an external mono microphone. Power for an electret microphone

 

is provided on the ring of the jack. When a microphone plug is inserted into the

 

jack, the internal microphone is disabled.

 

A gain boost is accessible from the Mixer tab by clicking the “…” button under the

 

Mic volume slider and placing a check in the “Microphone Boost” option.

Internal

The internal microphone operates in the same manner as an external microphone.

Mic level and boost is accessible in the Amigo Control Panel Mixer Tab.

 

The internal microphone is disabled when a microphone plug is inserted into the

 

microphone input.

Processor Pentium 800 MHz / compatible or higher with one available USB port. RAM 128 MB System RAM

Hard Drive Approximately 100 MB free space is required during the driver / application installation process.

Display 1024x768 High Color (24-bit)

Operating Systems Windows® 2000, XP, XP64, Vista (32 bit only)

CD-ROM Drive CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive required for software installation. Speakers Powered speakers or headphones.

A digital speaker system or home theater A/V receiver with optical TOSLINK inputs is necessary for connecting Amigo’s optical digital output.
