3. You must keep a current copy of the appropriate FCCRules.
4. You must maintain a log book in which you record all calls and full
transmitter maintenance records.
5. Your transmitter must beverified, by an appropriately licensed techni-
cian, to be incompliance with FCC requirements. This has been done
atthe factory for your LTD 950. A signed Certificate of Compliance
card is includedwith your radio and should be keptwith your log book.
6. You maynot maketransmitter tuning adjustments unless you arethe
holderof a valid first or second class commercial license issued bythe
FCC. Please request the assistance of your PRESIDENT Marine
Dealerand your nearest FCCField Office ifyou needother than a
Ship's Station License.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Your LTD 950 isa precision piece of electronic equipment and you
shouldtreat it accordingly. Due to the rugged design, very little mainte-
nance is required. However, a few precautionsshould be observed:
.Ifyour radio has been accidentally subjected to sprayor splash, you
should immediately wipe itdown with a soft cloth dampenedwith fresh
water.
.Ifthe antenna has been damaged, you should not transmit except in
case of emergency. A defective antenna may causedamage to your
radio.
.You are responsible for the continued FCC technical compliance of
your radio.
.You are urged to arrangefor periodic performance checks with your
PRESIDENT Marine Dealer.
