Using the Redial Button
RDLlPdials the last number that you called. This feature is extremely useful when the number you called is busy. To use this feature, simply press FLASH,then RDLlPThe. last number called will then be dialed again.
NOTE: If any other key is pressed before RDLlP,the phone will not redial the last number.
Answeri ng a Call
Your XC 320 will ring when someone is calling your number. If your Handset is not in the Base Unit, press TALKto answer the call. If your Handset is in the Base Unit, the Auto Talk feature allows you to answer the call by simply lifting the Handset from the Base Unit and beginning your conversation.
Using the AutoStandby Feature
When you finish a call and place the Handset back on the Base Unit, AutoStandbyautomatically hangs up the phone. There is no need to press TALKto hang up.
NOTE: If you don't place the Handset back on the Base Unit, you need to press TALKto hang up the phone.
NOTE: Sometimes when you press TALKto hang up the phone, you may get an error tone and the phone will not disconnect This may occur during conversations under noisy conditions. If this happens, place the Handset back on the Base Unit, or press TALKagain while holding the Handset close to the Base Unit.
Storing a Number
To store a number in memory:
1.Remove the Handset and press MEM.(Do not press TALK.)You will hear a beep indicating the unit is ready to be programmed.
2.Enter the number (up to 16 digits) you want to store.
3.If you wish to enter a delay between numbers (for accessing a switchboard, or long distance service), press RDLlPat the point in the number sequence you wish to pause. (Note: The RDLlPbutton counts as one digit) Pressing RDLlPmore than once will increase the length of the pause between numbers.
4.Press MEMand a number
You will hear a long beep when the number you have entered has been successfully stored.
