1.Dial your telephone number from any touch-tone telephone.

2.When the system answers, enter three- digit remote access code (500 unless you have changed it).

3.Enter remote com- mands (see list at right).

4.Hang up to end the call and save all undeleted messages.

NOTE: If you pause for more than 15 seconds during remote access, you will hear “The

machine will now

hang up,” then the call will end automati- cally.

Answering system operation

Remote access

A three-digit security code is required to access your answering system from any touch-tone telephone. This code is 500 by default, see Changing feature options (page 24) to change it.

Play all messages	Press to listen to all messages.

Play new messages	Press to listen to new messages.

Delete the messages	Press once during playback to delete
3	current message. Press twice to delete
	all old messages in idle mode.

Repeat or go back	Press during the caller’s message
4	to repeat the message. Press during
	the beginning of the day and time
	announcement to go back to the
	previous message.
Stop	Press to stop any operation (stop
5	playback, stop recording).
Skip to next message	Press to skip the current message
6	and advance to next message.
Record announcement	Press * 7, wait for the beep, then
*7 to begin recording	begin speaking. Press 5 to stop
	recording and listen to the play-

Turn system off	Press to turn off answering sys-

Turn system on	If off, system will answer after 10

Listen to clock setting	Press 8 to listen to the current

Recording message	Press # to record a new message.
