Install the Log Set

Remove the logs from their packaging, and inspect each piece for damage. DO NOT INSTALL DAMAGED

LOGS.

Models 2995, 2996, 2997, 2998

1.Install the rear log by centering it side to side on the sheet metal shelf at the back of the firebox. (Fig. 51) The log will touch both sides and back wall of the firebox.

2.Install the right log by placing right side of log on burner so it is just touching firebox side. Lay log flat on burner almost touching the decorative grate. Then tilt log back so that it leans against rear log. (Fig. 51) Only the topmost part of the left side of log will touch the rear log. The right log sits freely on the burner and does not use locator pins to stay in place.

3.Place left log on burner, making sure to engage locator pins in holes in bottom of the log. (Fig. 51) This log does not touch any other log.

4.Sprinkle lava rock on burner in front of, and between, left and right logs. (Fig. 52)

Models 2950, 2951

1.Install the rear log by engaging it with the pins on the sheet metal shelf at the back of the firebox. (Fig. 53)

2.Install the left and right middle logs by engaging holes on their bottoms with pins on the burner brackets. (Fig. 53)

3.Push the burner assembly fully toward the rear, by hand. Place the two front ember log sections in the slot at the front of the firebox, shown in Figure 53.

Reposition the burner tray fully forward against the ember logs.

4.Loosely sprinkle some of the lava rocks sparingly on top of the burner between the ember logs and the middle logs. Do not place any lava rocks behind the middle logs. (Fig. 53)

5.Engage the top log with the rear log and the pins on the middle logs. (Fig. 53)
