Troubleshooting
Problem Suggestion
The telephone does not
ring when th ere is an
incoming call.
Make sure the handset ringer is on ( page 6) and the telephone base ringer is o n (page 36).
Make sure the telephone line cor d and power adapter are plugged in proper ly (page 2).
The handset may be too far from the tele phone base. Move it closer to the telepho ne base.
There may be too many extension phones on th e telephone line to allow all of them to rin g
simultaneously. Try unplugging som e of them.
If the other telephones in your home are having the same problem, the problem is in the wiring
or local service. Cont act the local telephone compa ny (charges may apply).
Other electronic products can cause interference to your cordless telephone. Try installing your
telephone as far away as possible from the following electronic devices: wireless routers, radios,
radio towers, pager towers, cellular telephones, digital telephone s, intercoms, room monitors,
televisions, VCRs, personal co mputers, kitchen appliance s, and other cordless telephones.
Test a working telephone at the telephone wall jack. If another telephone has the same problem,
the problem is in the telephone wall jack. Contact your local telephon e company (charges may
apply).
The telephone line cord mig ht be malfunctioning. Try installing a new te lephone line cord.
Re-install the batter y and place the handset in the teleph one base.
Wait for the handset to synchronize with the te lephone base. Allow up to one minute for this
to take place.
