Using the Optional Media Server
Chapter 3: Printing ❖3-69
Using the Optional Media ServerThe Media Server, an optional disk drive that you can
order and install, enables y ou to print PostScript and
PCL 5C files directly at the printer from a standard High
Density, 3.5-inch, MS DOS formatted disk, with a 1.4 MB
maximum capacity. Any DocuPrint NC60 can easily be
upgraded with a Media Server Option.
The optional Media Server adds several advantages to
your DocuPrint NC60:
• A convenient way to print on special media (such as
transparencies) in a networked environment
• A way to print if your network or computer is disabled
• The assurance of the confidentiality of your
documents when printing in a networked
environment
• The convenience of sharing your printer with anyone
with walk-up service for printing files from a disk
• A way to elevate your print job to priority status (The
Media Server print requests supersede the network
print queue.)
