Using the CRW-70 Drive as a CD-R/RW Drive (When Connected to a Computer)
STEP 4 Install the CD Writing Software
Install the CD writing software that came with the CRW-70 drive. For details about how to install and use the software, refer to the documentation that came with it.
Disconnecting the CRW-70 Drive
The CRW-70 drive can be connected to or disconnected from your computer even when the computer is turned on (hot plug).
When removing the CRW-70 drive with the computer turned on, or when turning off the drive with the computer connected, follow the steps below.
Exit the CD writing software, if it is running.Be sure to remove the disc from the drive, if a disc is loaded.With Windows 98 Second Edition, you can disconnect the drive. With Windows Me/2000 Professional or Windows XP, start “Unplug or Eject Hardware” or “Safety Remove Hardware” on the taskbar, respectively, and then perform the necessary steps to disconnect the drive.

Note
When writing, be sure not to disconnect the USB cable from the CRW-70 drive, or to disconnect or connect any USB devices from/to the computer.
