72 MM6 Owner’s Manual

This procedure deletes selected user ﬁles and SMF ﬁles from a USB storage device.

1Make sure that the USB storage device

containing the ﬁle(s) you want to delete

has been properly connected to the

instrument’s USB TO DEVICE terminal,

and that “CONNECT” is showing in the

MAIN display.

2Press the [MENU] button.

3Use the CATEGORY [DEC] and [INC]

buttons to locate the Delete item.

4Select the ﬁle you want to delete.

You can press the [INC/YES] and [DEC/NO]

buttons simultaneously to select the ﬁrst song

or user ﬁle on the USB storage device.

5Press the [EXECUTE] button.

A conﬁrmation message will appear on the dis-

play. You can press the [DEC/NO] button at

this point to cancel the operation.

6Press the [EXECUTE] button again, or

the [INC/YES] button, and the delete

operation will begin.

7A message will appear on the display

when the operation is complete.

Press the [EXIT] button to return to the MAIN

display.

1Make sure that the USB storage device

2Press the [USB] button.

3Use the dial to select the SMF you want

to play.

4Press the [START/STOP] button.

Deleting Data from a USB Storage Device

• Once the delete-in-progress message appears in the display,

the operation cannot be canceled. Never turn off the power or

remove the USB storage device during this operation.

CAUTION

• If the USB storage device has been write-protected, an appropriate

message will appear on the display and you will not be able to exe-

cute the operation.
