ADVANCED OPERATION

Adjusting the speaker balance

This procedure lets you adjust the sound output level balance between the front, center and surround speakers by using the built-in test tone generator. Make this adjustment so that each speaker output level is about the same when heard at the listening position. This is important for high performance of the built-in DSP (Digital Sound field Processor), the Dolby Digital decoder and the DTS decoder.

If this unit is set to the “Virtual 3D” mode (the surround speakers are not used) in the Application Software, you can adjust the sound output levels of the speakers in the sound field of the “Virtual 3D” mode (including two virtual surround speakers). Refer to “Setting adjustment on the Setup panel” on page 27. This setting cannot be made by using the front panel controls or the remote control.)

*Use the remote control for adjusting the speaker output levels at the listening position.
