Using the DAB functions

Use this feature to set the DAB functions

1Press BAND on the front panel (or remote control) repeatedly to select DAB as the reception band.

2Press FUNCTION on the front panel (or remote control) to activate the DAB setup menu.

The last selected DAB function appears in the front panel display.

3Rotate PRESET/TUNING (or press TUNING k / n repeatedly) to select the

desired DAB function and then press

SELECT.

You can select the following functions. Refer to the pages indicated in the following pages for details about the operations in each function.

DAB function	Function	Page
Preset	Selects the preset DAB	15
tune	services.
Station	Selects the order of the DAB	13
order	services in the DAB registry
	list.
Tune aid	Displays the strength of the	14
	selected DAB service.
Dynamic	Selects the dynamic range	14
range	control mode.
Prune	Deletes a group of inactive	14
list	DAB ensembles and services

from the DAB registry list.

4Press FUNCTION again to exit from the DAB setup menu.

DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) tuning

■Station order Station order

You can change the order of the registered DAB services.

1Press BAND on the front panel (or remote control) repeatedly to select DAB as the reception band.

2Press FUNCTION on the front panel (or remote control).

The DAB function menu appears in the front panel display.

3Rotate PRESET/TUNING (or press TUNING k / n repeatedly) to select “Station order” and then press SELECT.

The station order setting appears in the front panel display.

4Rotate PRESET/TUNING (or press TUNING k / n repeatedly) to select the

desired station order setting and then press

SELECT.

Selected station order setting

Choice	Descriptions
Alphanumeric	Default setting. Select this setting to
	browse through all of the registered
	DAB services in the alphanumeric
	order.
Active	Select this setting to browse currently
	available DAB services quickly. This
	unit lists the currently active DAB
	services first, and then other DAB
	services in the alphanumeric order.
Ensemble	Select this setting to browse through the
	registered DAB services from the
	lowest to the highest channel labels.
Favourite	Select this setting to browse through the
	top 10 services most frequently selected
	with this unit. “♥” appears after the
	name of services that are listed at the
	top of the channel list.
