■Automatic tuning
Automatic tuning is effective when station signals are strong and there is no interference.
1Press BAND on the front panel (or remote control) repeatedly to select the reception band (FM/AM).
2Press TUNING MODE (or remote control) to select “Auto tune”.

3Rotate PRESET/TUNING (or press TUNING k / n) to begin automatic tuning.
When this unit is tuned into a station, the TUNED indicator lights up and the frequency of the received station is shown in the front panel display.

If the station that this unit is tuned into provides the Radio Data System information, the program service information that this unit currently receives appears in the front panel display.
■Manual tuning
If the signal received from the station you want to select is weak, tune into it manually.
1Press BAND on the front panel (or remote control) repeatedly to select the reception band (FM/AM).
2Press TUNING MODE on the front panel (or remote control) repeatedly to select “Manual tune”.

3Rotate PRESET/TUNING on the front panel (or press TUNING k / n on the remote
control repeatedly) to select the desired frequency.
When this unit is tuned into a station, the TUNED indicator lights up and the frequency of the received station is shown in the front panel display.
■Selecting the FM radio wave reception
mode
If the signal received from the station and the quality of the sound is not good, set the FM radio wave reception mode to the monaural tuning mode.
Press FM MODE on the front panel (or remote control) repeatedly to select the stereo mode or monaural mode when this unit is tuned into an FM radio station.
•When this unit is in the stereo tuning mode, the STEREO indicator lights up in the front panel display.
•When this unit is in the monaural tuning mode, the STEREO indicator disappears.
Note
Even if this unit is in the stereo tuning mode, the STEREO indicator does not light up when the currently received program is monaural.
