Cleaning for the first time

The cooking surface should be cleaned before use to remove any traces of the production process.

Wash the glass--ceramic surface and frame with hot water and rinsing agent, and wipe dry.

Heating up for the first time

To check the cooking zones, briefly switch each one on.

The Cooking Zone

Ceramic cooking surface

The cooking surface is made of ceramic glass. The surface is pore--free and also insensitive to rapid chan- ges in temperature. Pots can therefore be moved from a hot to a cold zone.

When switching on the cooking zone there may be a brief humming sound from the heaters. This is normal and disappears when the cooking zone has warmed up.

Keep all objects and materials which can melt away from the cooking surface, e.g. plastics, aluminium foil.

Take care when preparing food or drinks containing su- gar. If anything of this nature accidentally comes into contact with the ceramic surface, it must be scraped off immediately while still hot and wiped away cleanly to avoid damage to the surface.

The hob is operated by the touch controls located at the front, each of which has its own display.
