Chapter 4 Tutorial

5Select WPA2-PSKas the Security Mode, and enter the Pre-Shared Key. In this example, use ThisisVoIPPreSharedKey. Click Apply.

6Your VoIP wireless network is now ready to use. Any traffic using the VoIP_SSID profile will be given the highest priority across the wireless network.

4.2.4Configure the Guest Network

When you are setting up the wireless network for guests to your office, your primary concern is to keep your network secure while allowing access to certain resources (such as a network printer, or the Internet). For this reason, the pre-configured Guest_SSID profile has intra-BSS traffic blocking enabled by default. “Intra-BSS traffic blocking” means that the client cannot access other clients on the same wireless network.

1Click Wireless LAN > SSID. Click the Edit icon next to Guest_SSID.

2Select SecProfile3 in the Security field. Do not select the Hidden SSID check-box so the guests can easily find the wireless network.

3Select WMM_BESTEFFORT in the QoS field to give the guest a lower QoS priority.
