ASSEMBLY

UPPERHANDLEAND CRANKASSEMBLY

1.Loosen,butdonot removethescrews,flatwashers,Iockwashers,and hexnutsin theupperholesof thelowerhandle(seeFigure4).

2.Removethefastenersandthecrankassemblyeyeboltfromthelower holesofthe lowerhandle.

3.Raiseupperhandleintooperatingposition.Upperhandleshouldbeto theoutsideof thelowerhandle.

NOTE:Makesurethecablesarenotcaughtbetweentheupperand

lowerhandle.

4.Installthefastenersandthecrankassemblyeyeboltthatwereremoved instep2. DONOTtightenuntil allfastenersarein place.

5.Attachthecrankrod(A, Figure5)to theuniversaljointassembly(B) withthehairpin(C).

6.Tightennutoneyebolt. Makesureeyebolt is properlyalignedandthe crankcanfreelyrotate(seeFigure4).

7.Tightenall handlebolts. NOTE:Makesurecrankdoesnottouchcarburetorcover.

CHECK THE CABLES

1.Ifcontrolcableshavebecomeunattachedfrommotormountframe,re- connectcablesasshownin Figure6.

2.Forcableadjustments,see"CheckandAdjusttheCables"inthe

MAINTENANCEsection.
