Restoring the factory default settings

Restoring the US factory default settings

The factory default settings for the United States are:

Code pages: 437

Character Set: 1

Form length: 11 inches

To restore the factory default settings:

1Make sure the ribbon cartridge is installed and paper is loaded.

2Turn the printer off.

3Open the ribbon access cover.

4Move the printhead over toward the control panel side of the printer until it stops.

5Close the ribbon access cover.

6Press and hold Tear Off and Load/Unload while turning the printer on.

7Continue holding the buttons until the carrier moves.

Note: The control panel lights blink on and off several times.

The factory default settings have been restored once the carrier moves.

Restoring the EU factory default settings

The factory default settings for Europe are:

Code pages: 858

Character Set: 2

Form length: 12 inches

To restore the factory default settings:

1Make sure the ribbon cartridge is installed and paper is loaded.

2Turn the printer off.

3Open the ribbon access cover.

4Move the printhead over toward the control panel side of the printer until it stops.

5Close the ribbon access cover.

6Press and hold Tear Off and Tractor while turning the printer on.

7Continue holding the buttons until the carrier moves.

Note: The control panel lights blink on and off several times.
