Acceptable Media

The ADF can feed media falling within the following parameters.

• Standard paper sizes: B5, A4, Letter, Legal

Width: 7.2-8.5 in. (182-216 mm) / Length: 10.1-14.0 in. (257-356 mm)

• Standard paper weights: 16-28 lb. (60-105 g/m2)

The following can cause paper jams and should be avoided.

papers with weights higher or lower than the range given above

non-rectangular media with irregular shapes

specialty paper for color printers, glossy papers or papers with special coatings

ripped, perforated or punched paper

curled or wrinkled paper (See the warning on the next page for the allowable curl)

papers joined with staples or paperclips (smoothen the papers after removing any fasteners)

papers with carbon paper attached

coarse or fibrous papers

overhead projector (OHP) or other transparencies

adhesive labels or postcards

papers to which tape or glue has added to the thickness

• color photocopier papers impregnated with oil

No punched holes

No staples or paperclips
