Printer Status

Printer Status is the overall status transmitted in the third byte of the auto- matic status. Printer status is returned as transmission byte count -2 added by the Header 1. It always updates with new information. (There is no historical record existing.) Tables 3-5 to 3-9 show the composition of the overall status. The status of bits described as “Invalid” in the tables are always “unknown.”
