Unit 8: Adjustment Procedures

ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES

This unit covers all of the printer adjustment procedures that may occur following the initial configuration. Due to its simple maintenance-free design, there are few adjustments that will be required.

PITCH ADJUSTMENT

The pitch setting determines the print position on the label in relation to the eye-mark reference. The eye-mark sends a signal indicating the end of the prior label and the pitch adjustment is based on the linear distance of feed from the time the signal was transmitted.

Power off and

disconnect cable.

POWER = OFF

Connect the printer to the host with RS232C cable.

Send printer operation registration command from the host and adjust the label pitch offset.

Print a label.

Adjustment successful? <Yes / No>

Printer shuts down.
