Running Power Supply Tests

Running a LED Test on the Power Supply

You can use the LED test to identify a specific power supply by entering these commands:

SFS-7000P> enable

 

SFS-7000P# config

 

SFS-7000P(config)# diag power-supply 1

 

SFS-7000P(config-diag-power-supply-1)#

test led

SFS-7000P(config-diag-power-supply-1)#

start

SFS-7000P(config-diag-power-supply-1)#

stop

SFS-7000P(config-diag-power-supply-1)#

 

Running a Self-Test on a Power Supply

To perform a diagnostic self-test on a power supply, follow these steps:

Step 1 Determine the ID of the power Enter the show power-supply

supply that you want to diagnose, if you do not already know the number. command.

Step 2 Specify the type of test (self-test is chosen by default) by entering the diag power-supplyid command.

SFS-7000P> enable

SFS-7000P# config

SFS-7000P(config)# diag power-supply 2

SFS-7000P(config-diag-power-supply-2)# test self-test

 

Step 3

Start the test.

 

 

SFS-7000P(config-diag-power-supply-2)# start

 

Step 4

Display the progress of the test by entering the show diag fan command.

 

 

SFS-7000P(config-diag-power-supply-2)# exit

 

 

SFS-7000P(config)# exit

 

 

SFS-7000P#show diagnostic power-supply
