Interface Icon

This icon is a logical representation of a network interface or port, see Interface Device View (page 30). Figure 8 shows a sample Interface icon, its labels and double-click zones.

Interface Number Label

This label identifies this interface (”e” indicates an Ethernet interface, “b” indicates a backplane interface, and the numeral represents the interface number on this module).

Interface Type Label

This label displays the type of network interface module (e.g., Ethernet, FDDI, etc.).
