10. Administrator Utility

View Mode

Many OSD functions only operate on the computers that are currently listed (displayed) on the OSD main screen. Use this function to broaden or narrow the scope of KVM ports that are listed. The submenu choices and their meanings are given in the table below:

Option

Description

 

 

Personal

Check this option to have the OSD display only the KVM ports that have been set as personal.

 

 

Accessible

Check this option to have the OSD display only the KVM ports to which you have been granted access.

 

 

Accessible & Powered

Check this option to have the OSD display only the KVM ports to which you have been granted access, and are powered on.

 

 

Set Port ID

When a user switches KVM ports from the OSD, a port ID is shown. The table below explains the options you have in how this information is displayed:

Tag Mode

There are three options for displaying the Port ID: Display the Port Number only (ID), Display the Port Note only (Port

 

Name) or Display both the Port Number and Port Note (ID + Port Name). The default is ID + Port Name.

 

 

ID Position

This positions the port ID on the monitor. The default is the Upper Left Corner. The setting ‘Other’ has no functionality at

 

this time. It is included for possible future functionality.

 

 

Display Duration

Display duration determines the length of time that the port ID displays on the screen after a KVM port change. The table below explains the choices:

Always On

Displays the Port ID at all times.

 

 

User Defined

Specifies length of display duration (from 1-240 seconds). The default is 3 seconds. Enter a value of zero to disable this

 

function.

 

 

Set Scan

Selects the KVM ports that are viewed under Auto Scan mode and the duration of time that they receive KVM focus.

Scan Timer

Determines the amount of time spent on each connected computer/server during Auto Scan. Enter a value from 0-240

 

seconds. The default is 5 seconds. Entering zero will cause the B060-032-8 to automatically enter Skip mode when Auto

 

Scan mode is invoked.

Scan Mode

Selects which computers will be accessed when Auto Scanning. Personal; only those KVM ports that the user has set as

 

personal. Accessible; only those KVM ports that the user has been given access to. Accessible & Powered; only those

 

KVM ports that the user has been given access to and that are powered on. The default is Accessible & Powered.
