12. Hotkey Mode

Press the arrow keys to skip through the OSD list. When you skip, you only skip to the previous or next available KVM port that is in the Auto Scan mode selection (see page xx).

[←] Switches to the previous KVM port in the OSD list.

[→] Switches to the next KVM port in the OSD list.

[↑] Switches to the first KVM port in the OSD list.

[↓] Switches to the last KVM port in the OSD list.

While Auto Scan mode is in effect, ordinary keyboard and mouse functions are suspended—only Auto Scan mode compliant keystrokes and mouse clicks can be input. You must exit Auto Scan mode in order to regain normal control of the KVM console. To exit Auto Scan mode press ESC or SPACEBAR.

12. 3 Hotkey Beeper Control

The beeper can be toggled on and off by means of a hotkey. To toggle the beeper, enter the following hotkey combination: Invoke Hotkey mode.

Press [B].

Pressing [B] toggles the beeper on or off. The command line displays BEEPER ON or BEEPER OFF for one second; then the message disappears and you automatically exit Hotkey mode.

The PC compatible (101/104 key) keyboard can emulate the functions of the Mac keyboard. The emulation mappings are listed in the table below. Note: When using key combinations, press and release the first key (CTRL), then press and release the activation key.
