Install an Additional Drive

NOTE: This upgrade kit includes a Pelco-certified hard disk drive to be installed as an additional unit. Using any other hard disk drive with the DX8000 voids the manufacturerÕs warranty for this product.

PREPARE THE DRIVES

Locate where the second drive will go before you install it:

1.Drives should be installed in order from right to left (as you face the front of the unit), beginning with the slot closest to the CD-RW drive. Refer to Figure 11.

2.Leave no empty drive slots between drives in the drive basket.
