Compaq HB1004 System

Configuration

The Compaq HB1004 provides a proprietary, user-friendly, menu driven out- of-band program (Compaq HB1004 System Configuration Program). This program allows you to configure the hub using a PC directly attached to the RS232 port on the front of the hub, or remotely via a modem connected to the RS232 port. With this program you can define system parameters, manage and control the hub and associated ports, and monitor network conditions. Table 3-1 briefly describes the menu selections available for this program.
