MAINTENANCE
TEMPERATURE WARNING INDICATOR
The TEMPERATURE WARNING Indicator flashes red when the internal temperature of the projector exceeds the normal temperature. The Indicator stops to flash when the temperature of the projector become normal. When the TEMPERATURE WARNING Indicator continues to flash, make sure the matters below.
1 | The Ventilation slots of the projector are blocked. In such an event, reposition the appliance so that the ventilation |
slots are not obstructed. | |
2 | Air filter is clogged with dust particles. Remove dust from the air filter by following instruction in the AIR FILTER |
CARE AND CLEANING section below. | |
3 | If the TEMPERATURE WARNING Indicator remains on after performing the above checks, the Cooling Fans or the |
Internal Circuits may be malfunctioning. In that case, call Boxlight. |
AIR FILTER CARE AND CLEANING
The Removable Air Filter prevents dust from accumulating on the surface of the Projection Lens and the Projection Mirror. Should the Air Filter become clogged with dust particles, it will reduce the Cooling Fans' effectiveness and may result in internal heat build up and effect on the life of the projector.
To clean the Air Filter, follow the cleaning procedures below:
1 | Turn the power off, and disconnect the AC power cord from the |
AC outlet. | |
2 | Remove the Air Filter Cover. Press the cover latch sideway and |
lift the cover. | |
3 | Remove the Air Filter from the Air Filter Cover and clean it with a |
vacuum cleaner. | |

RECOMMENDATION |

We recommend avoiding dusty/smoky environments for | AIR FILTER COVER | |
operating the projector. Using in these environment may cause |

poor image quality. |

When using under dusty or smoky conditions, dust may accumulate |

on the liquid crystal panel and lens inside it, and may resultantly be |
| |
projected onto the screen together with the picture. |

When the above symptoms are noticed, contact Boxlight at |

CLEANING THE PROJECTION LENS
Follow these steps to clean the projection lens:

Abrasive cleaners, solvents or other harsh chemicals might scratch the lens. |

Lightly wipe the cleaning cloth over the lens.
When you are not using the projector, replace the lens cover.
