Read the Satellite STB Serial Number

At the [Satellite (#)] Command > prompt, type bnum and press Enter to display the satellite STB serial number, for example:

Card 1: STB serial# is: R0128005665-79

Read the Satellite STB Smart Card Number

At the [Satellite (#)] Command > prompt, type cnum and press Enter to display the satellite STB smart card serial number, for example:

Card 1: Smart card# is: S1920968050-61

Power the Satellite STB On or Off

“Turn STB On” and “Turn STB Off” options in the Satellite Receiver Menu enable you to power ON a satellite STB from standby mode or power OFF a satellite STB to standby mode.

At the [Satellite (#)] Command > prompt, either:

•Type on and press Enter to power ON the satellite STB.

•Type off and press Enter to switch the satellite STB to standby mode. HDMI ouput as well as Ethernet streaming is disabled.

Reset the Satellite STB

1.At the [Satellite (#)] Command > prompt, type stbrst and press Enter to reset the satellite STB.

2.At the Reset (y/n)? prompt, either:

•Type y and press Enter to reset the satellite STB. After reset, the satellite STB resumes normal operation.

•Type n and press Enter to return to the [Satellite (#)] Command > prompt without resetting the STB.

Read and/or Set STB Update Parameters

The STB Software Update feature enables the STB to check for and download software updates on a one-time, user-defined basis. An STB update should periodically be scheduled in conjunction with software updates from the satellite service provider.

Note: At the time an update is scheduled to begin, the STB will be switched to standby in order to enable it to download the update. When the update window is over, the STB will be powered back ON; however, note that it may take up to 10 minutes for streaming to resume. Contact your service provider for further information.

You can view the current STB update status (scheduled, not scheduled, or in progress), and/ or you can modify the STB update status/parameters, as required.
