Under the Help menu is an About... menu item which displays information about the TLV320AIC3107EVM software.

The I2C Bus Error Detection button allows the user to enable circuitry which sets a register bit (Register 107, D0) if an I2C bus error is detected. It is unnecessary to use this with the GUI software but can be used as part of error detection in the end-equipment software design.

The actual USB protocol used as well as instructions on writing scripts are detailed in the following subsections. Although it is unnecessary to understand or use either the protocol or the scripts directly, understanding them may be helpful to some users.
