BMC Network Configuration

Set this feature to configure the IPMI LAN adapter with a network address.

Update IPMI LAN Configuration

This feature allows the user to decide if the BIOS should configure the IPMI setting at next system boot. The options are No and Yes. If the option is set to Yes, the user is allowed to configure the IPMI settings at next system boot.

Configuration Source

This feature selects whether the IP address, Subnet Mask and Gateway Address are automatically assigned by the network's DHCP server (Dynamic Host and Configura- tion Protocol) "Dynamic" or manually entered by the user "Static". When Dynamic is selected, all the options below are automatically assigned to the system by itself or by an external DHCP server. If Static is selected, the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway Address must be manually entered below. The options are Static, Dynamic, and Do Nothing.

Current IP Address - Enter the IP address for this machine. This should be in decimal and in dotted quad form (i.e., 192.168.10.253). The value of each three- digit number separated by dots should not exceed 255.

Current Subnet Mask - Subnet masks tell the network which subnet this ma- chine belongs to. The value of each three-digit number separated by dots should not exceed 255.

Current MAC Address - MAC addresses are 6 two-digit hexadecimal numbers (Base 16, 0 ~ 9, A, B, C, D, E, F) separated by dots (i.e., 00.30.48.D0.D4.60).

Current Gateway IP Address - Enter the Gateway or Router address (i.e., 192.168.10.1).
