Chapter 2: Installation

Installing and Removing DIMMs

Position the DIMM

module's bottom key,

 

so it aligns with the

receptive point on the slot.

Push the Lock/Release

tabs to their Release po-

sitions. Make sure that

the DIMM module's side notches align with the slot's Lock/ Release tabs as it is pressed in.

Insert the DIMM mod- ule vertically and press down until the module snaps into place.

 

When the module is

properlly inserted, the

Lock/Release tabs will

 

automatically secure

the DIMM module, locking it into place.

To Remove:

Use your thumbs to

gently push the Lock/

 

Release tabs near both

ends of the module. This should release it from the slot. Pull the DIMM module upwards.
