Other operating systems

Macintosh

To configure your drive for a Macintosh system, you must use a third-party hard disc initialization program. Most software ven- dors and computer stores that carry Mac software sell hard disc drivers. Refer to the software instructions for details.

Note. The Apple HD SC Setup utility included with your Macin- tosh system software only works on drives ordered directly through Apple.

Unix

There are several versions of the UNIX operating system. Each of these handle hard disc drive installation in a different manner. For this reason, refer to your system’s operating manual for infor- mation about how to complete the installation of your disc drive.

Netware

To configure the drive for Netware, refer to your Netware user’s guide for installation instructions.
