5.5. Circuit Parameters

The Circuit Parameters menus are used to assign names and select default A/B positions for each of the switched A/B circuits. There is a separate Circuit Parameters menu for each A/B circuit. Note that the Circuit Parameters menus are not available in User Mode.

To access the Circuit Parameters menus from the PLS> command prompt, type /P n [Enter]; where n is the number or common name of the desired A/B circuit. The Circuit Parameters Menu (Figure 5.3) offers the following options:

1.Common Name (From): Assigns a name to the common line (C) for this A/B circuit. When circuit names are assigned, A/B switching commands can be invoked using the number or common name of the desired A/B circuit. To assign a Common Name, type 1, press [Enter], and follow the instructions in the submenu. (Up to 16 characters; Default = undefined.)

2."A" Name (To): Assigns a name to the "A" line for this A/B circuit. When a name is assigned to the "A" line, and the circuit is in the "A" position, this name will appear in the "To" column on the PLS Circuit Status Screen. To assign a name to the "A" line, type 2, press [Enter], and follow the instructions in the submenu. (Up to 16 characters; Default = undefined.)
