6.2. The Network Status Screen

The Network Status Screen lists the TCP port number, source port, source IP address and other Network related parameters. Note that the Network Status Screen is used primarily for diagnostic purposes, for a listing of current network parameters such as the IP Address and Subnet Mask, please refer to the Network Parameters Menu. As shown in Figure 6.2, the Network Status Screen includes the following information:

1.Site ID: The currently defined Site ID message. Note that the site ID message is defined via the General Parameters Menu (/G).

2.MAC Address: The MAC Address assigned to the PLS Network Interface card is listed in the second line of the Network Status Screen, adjacent to the text which reads

"NETWORK STATUS."

3.TCB: Transmission Control Block (Always 1.)

a)SRC PORT (Source Port): The port number of the PC or terminal that has contacted the PLS via network.

b)State: The current status of the TCB connection.

c)Source IP Address: The IP Address of the network node that has currently accessed the PLS-345 Command Mode.

4.Port:

a)TCB: Transmission Control Block (Always 1.)

b)State: The current status of the Telnet Port.
