2.2Installing motherboard components

This section describes how to install CPUs, memory mod- ules, and expansion cards.

2.2.1Removing the chassis cover

Follow these instructions to remove the chassis cover. This step is required before any other procedures in this chapter can be undertaken.

1.Press the two blue buttons on the release catches and lift the catches.

The chassis lid slides back slightly.

2. Lift the lid free from the chassis.

Refitting the chassis cover is a reverse of the removal pro- cess. Place the lid on the chassis and push it forward into place before tightening the screw on the rear of the unit.
