Configuration and Management
Select an appropriate data rate from the “Data rate” drop down list according to what is supported by the wireless clients that should connect.
Click
Apply to save the setting.
3.6.6Scan for Wireless Networks
If you want information about adjacent wireless networks, click the Scan for wireless networks button. A scanning is started and when finished, information about wireless networks is presented as in the example below:

The list displays the following information about wireless networks that are nearby:

MAC Address | The MAC address of the access point for |

Network Name | The network name (SSID) of the WLAN. |

Channel | The radio channel used by the WLAN. |

RSSI | The RSSI (Received Signal Strength |
| Indicator) which is a link indication |
| expressed in dBm to show the signal |
| strength of the wireless network. |
|

This information can be of help when deciding which channel to use. Click Back to return to the Wireless LAN page where you can select a desired channel.
