3.6Wireless LAN
A Wireless LAN (WLAN) is a local network that communicates through wireless connections.
The Ericsson W3x can be used as a WLAN Access Point (AP), connecting to wireless PCs according to the IEEE standard 802.11b/g, providing Internet and LAN access.
The WLAN settings are displayed on the Wireless LAN page.

3.6.1Enable WLAN
To enable the wireless LAN on the Ericsson W3x select the “Enable WLAN” check box and click the Apply button to save the setting. To ensure the security of your Wireless LAN, you are recommended to change the default settings for network name (SSID) and authentication.
Note: The wireless setup typically requires configuration of both the Ericsson W3x and the wireless client(s). For more information on configuration of wireless clients, see section 6.2 – Wireless LAN Settings.
