Installing Printer Firmware

When you install printer firmware, you also need to configure your printer hardware. Before getting started, make sure that:

your printer is set to serial mode (all DIP switches are off).

the paper roll is properly seated on your printer.

your printer is connected to your host PC with a serial cable.

Communications LED is on (green).

you have the Tera Term application installed on your host PC. Tera Term is a free, open-source terminal emulator program available from the Internet.

you have the Tera Term macro ConfigurationHardwareInformationTTMacro.ttl installed on your PC. You can download the macro from the PB3 downloads page from the Intermec web site at www.intermec.com.

To install firmware and configure printer hardware

Use only firmware files provided by Intermec.
