Removing the I/O Board

1.Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.

2.Remove:

a.battery

b.base cover

c.hard drive

d.keyboard trim

e.keyboard

f.palmrest

3.Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:

a.Disconnect the I/O board cable from its connector on the system board [1] [2].

b.Remove the screws that secure the I/O board to the computer [3].

c.Remove the I/O board from the computer [4].

Installing the I/O Board

1.Insert the I/O board to its place on the computer.

2.Tighten the screws to secure the I/O board to the computer.

3.Connect the I/O board cable to its connector on the system board.

4.Install:

a.palmrest

b.keyboard

c.keyboard trim

d.hard drive

e.base cover

f.battery

5.Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your computer.

Removing the Display-Hinge Cover

1.Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.

2.Remove:

a.battery

b.base cover
