Removing the Display Assembly

1.Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.

2.Remove:

a.battery

b.base cover

c.keyboard trim

d.keyboard

e.hard drive

f.palmrest

3.Release the WWAN and WLAN cables from their routing channels.

4.Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:

a.Release the screw to release the metal bracket that secures the display-assembly cable [1].

b.Remove the metal bracket to access the display-assembly cable [2].

c.Disconnect the display-assembly cables from their connectors on the system board [3] [4].
