9.Turn the keyboard over.
10.Release the connector latches and disconnect the keyboard cable and keyboard backlight cable from the respective system board connectors.
11.Lift the keyboard off the computer.

CHAPTER 8: KEYBOARD
Replacing the Keyboard
1.Follow the instructions in “Before You Begin” on page 6.
2.Slide the keyboard cable and the keyboard backlight cable into the respective system board connectors and push down the connector latches to secure the cables to the connectors.
3.Align the tabs on the keyboard with the slots on the chassis.
4.Replace the three screws that secure the keyboard to the computer base.
5.Replace the center control cover (see “Replacing the Center Control Cover” on page 31).
6.Replace the memory module(s) (see “Replacing the Memory Module(s)” on page 23).
7.Replace the hard drive (see “Replacing the Hard Drive” on page 18).
8.Replace the compartment door (see “Replacing the Compartment Door” on page 14).
9.Replace the battery pack (see “Replacing the Battery Pack” on page 11).
CAUTION: Before turning on the computer, replace all screws and ensure that no stray screws remain inside the computer. Failure to do so may result in damage to the computer.
