Adjusting the Sensor Gap Detector

The gap sensor adjustment switch is located behind the ribbon cartridge and mounted directly on the printhead carriage assembly.

There are two positions for the sensor gap detector. Using the correct position will ensure better paper feeding and also avoid marks on the carbon copy pages of multi-copy media.

Set the switch in the UPPER position for single sheet fanfold paper, cut sheet and passbooks.

Set the switch in the LOWER position for multi-copy fanfold paper and n.c.r copy paper.
