The Mechanism Model Option is Not Selectable in Configuration Mode. Setup for this option is done via Command Codes. Setting the mechanism model incorrectly could result in damage to the printer.
Please contact your Pertech service representative if you are unsure of the model your printer should be set to.

Extended Self Test
At the completion of the Configuration Report Self Test, the printer will prompt for access to the Configuration Mode, let the option for the Configuration Mode expire. The printer will then prompt for the Extended Self Test. To begin the Extended Self Test press the Paper Feed Button within 10 seconds. If the button is not pressed within this time limit, the printer will resume normal operation.
The Extended Self Test performs a printhead pin firing test, character drop test, checks the vertical line adjustments, fonts, validation clamp, pitches and character sets.
