Step One: Remove PCI Expansion System Cover
WARNING
High voltages are present inside the chassis when the unit’s power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet. Disconnect the power cord from its source before removing the chassis cover.
CAUTION
Before touching anything inside the chassis, move to an ESD station and follow proper ESD procedure. Failure to do so may result in electrostatic discharge damaging the computer or its components. For more information, see “Protecting Against Electrostatic Discharge”.
Four screws retain the cover on the 1 Slot chassis. They are located on the rear of the unit. Remove these screws to open the chassis. Slide the cover backwards disengaging it from the guides at the front of the chassis by firmly grasping the rear cover lip over the card area and prying the cover backward about ¾” and then lifting the cover off the chassis.
Step Two: Install PCI Card in PCI Expansion System
