Entering a User Code to Use the Machine

If user codes are turned on, operators

1 must enter their user code before they can use the machine. The machine keeps count of the number of copies made under each user code.

Note

If you want to use this feature, you must turn it on and register the user codes with the user tools. You can register up to 20 user codes. See “Set User Code” and “Reg. User Code” on p.153 “6. Adminis- trator Mode”.

When user codes are turned on, the machine will prompt you for your user code when you turn on the main switch or after the ma- chine has been reset.

A Enter your 4–digit user code with the number keys.

Note

User codes are not displayed on the panel display.

To change the number entered, press the {Clear/Stop} key and enter the new number.

B Press the {q} key.

C Make your prints.

D To prevent others from making prints with your user code, hold down the {Clear Modes/Energy Sav- er } key, and then press the {Clear/Stop} key.
